Description

Hearty + Comforting Soup


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup pearl barley
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat
  • 4 cups raw mushrooms, chopped
  • 9 cups water
  • 156 ml tomato paste, canned (1 small can)
  • 2 vine tomatoes chopped up
  • 1 item Low Sodium Boullion Cube
  • 1/2 tsp cardamon, ground
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin, ground
  • 1 tbsp seasoning blend, like Mrs. Dash
  • 1 tsp Windsor Half Salt TM
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 10 oz spinach, frozen, chopped, thawed (1 package)

Instructions

  1. In a large crock pot or slow cooker, add all ingredients. Stir all ingredients together.
  2. Cook on high for 4-5 hours. If you have time, stir every couple of hours.
  3. Add in thawed frozen spinach 30 minutes before serving.
