About A Little Nutrition Grand Rounds

Diet culture coupled with the recent pandemic has impacted individuals in ways that health care providers are still learning about.

When it comes to mental health and nutrition, our team at A Little Nutrition Inc. has been touched by an increase in cases of clients affected by disordered eating and eating disorders. We have been challenged to learn and grow and have deepened our knowledge on how to support individuals and families who are struggling. We want to share with Manitoba practitioners how we provide nutritional care at our clinic and help healthcare providers feel more supported in their client care.

Our co-host, Susan Watson, RD is putting on this series to help reduce professional isolation in this practice area.  Her volunteer time is going towards certification as a certified eating disorder dietitian with IAEDP (The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation).

We are honoured to have Lauren Paquette, RD from Women’s Health Clinic to co-host this series. Both Lauren and Susan are passionate about supporting healthcare providers grow in their knowledge around supporting individuals with an eating disorder.

*Note: our practice approach aligns with non-diet weight inclusive Health at Every Size ® principles. We focus on intuitive eating as our basis to improving one’s relationship with food.
