Save time in the morning by making your own “instant” oatmeal with non-instant super healthy large flake (regular) rolled oats. Make it in advance, portion it out into containers, add ingredients, and store in the fridge. This makes a healthy, super tasty breakfast fast in the morning.  Re-heat before you head out the door, or once you get to work (if you are not an earlier morning breakfast eater).

I use regular oats, not instant or quick-cooked oats, as they are highly processed. This recipe can be made with steel-cut oats as well. I’ve also done 1 cup spelt or kamut flakes with 1 cup oats for more texture.
